The seven-time Formula 1 champion, Lewis Hamilton, may announce his move to Ferrari as early as this February 1.
The 39-year-old driver, who has been with Mercedes since 2013, has enjoyed a trophy-laden period with the British team, winning six championships, including four consecutive ones from 2017 to 2020, although he has been less successful in recent years.
Despite signing a new contract with Mercedes in August 2023, the 39-year-old’s future is now seen as uncertain, with Ferrari reportedly trying to bring Lewis Hamilton to the team in 2025 to race alongside Charles Leclerc, as reported by formu1a.uno
Sky Sports News reported that Mercedes’ factory is expected to be informed by the team’s CEO, Toto Wolff, before a possible announcement later today (1st) about a change of teams.
A report from Motorsport.com also stated that negotiations are at an advanced stage.
